The Assistant High Commissioner of India - His Excellency K.R. Rajan Pillai sponsored 15 Artificial Limbs (Above Knee and Below Knee) to poor under privileged persons. The handing over of Artificial Limbs to the recipients was held on 15th February 2007 at the Centre for Handicapped in Kundasale. His Excellency K.R. Rajan Pillai & officials from the Asst. High Commission of India in Kandy and the Management & Staff members from the Centre for Handicapped participated in this ceremony. As the first stage, 5 artificial limbs were handed over on this day.
